U.S. President Joe Biden has negotiated a price with drone
firm, Now Ball in India's court.
U.S. govt recently sent a letter of acceptance to India for the MQ-9B
predator drone deal.
Washington sent a confidential letter to India for approx. $4
billion deal on March 11.
India is looking to buy over 30 MQ-9B Drones from
General Atomics Via govt-to-govt route.
The us state dept notified the deal on Feb 1 but wanted any
objection from us lawmakers.

WHAT NEXT?
Indian Navy will study the details of the deal to see whether the price
is satisfactory.
The U.S. govt negotiated a price with a drone firm as per rules in the govt-to-govt deal.
if satisfactory, the navy will send the deal to the cabinet committee on
security via the defence minister.
Indian Navy is slated to get 16 drones while the Army and Air Force will get 8 each.
India buying drones armed with hellfire Agm-114r missiles,
laser guided bombs. Drones to have anti-submarine sonobuoys, full encryption
& surveillance complement package.
Predator drones are expected to be India’s effective answer to China’s UAV
operation policy.
China
uses its wing Loong 11 armed drones, which it has also sold to Pakistan.
